Liverpool hit abysmal Newcastle for six

Liverpool showed there is life without suspended striker Luis Suarez as they hammered Newcastle for at St. James’ Park.

Early goals from Daniel Agger and Jordan Henderson put the Merseysiders in control of the match against a sluggish Newcastle side.

A brace from Daniel Sturridge, a Fabio Borini effort and a second by Henderson completed the rout which leaves Alan Pardew’s men in real danger of relegation.

With top scorer Suarez beginning a 10-match suspension for biting Branislav Ivanovic, Sturridge was given the task of leading Liverpool’s front line and he was almost found free in the clear by Glen Johnson twice in the first couple of minutes.
