Liverpool and Manchester United are among the clubs interested in signing Swansea’s on loan midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, according to the Daily Mirror.
Sigurdsson has been in spectacular form for the Swans since joining on loan from
German outfit Hoffenheim, and has scored an impressive 7 goals in just 14 starts for Brenden Rodgers side.
This form has alerted a number of clubs and the
Mirror claim that Liverpool boss
Kenny Dalglish and Man Utd representative
Martin Ferguson were in attendance to watch the Icelanic international in action during Saturdays 1-1 draw with
Bolton.
The report also suggests that
Everton and
Newcastle are interested in the 22-year-old, but his parent club Hoffenheim have now slapped a £10m price tag on his head following his impressive form in recent weeks.
Swansea are understood to be keen to extend the players stay at the
Liberty Stadium but the German side will now sell to the highest bidder to try and appease anger supports, who are unhappy that the fan-favourite has been sent out on loan.
