Martin Atkinson assessed breaking Luis Suarez at minute 23. Everton then filed an appeal, which was granted by the
English Football Federation (FA).
The match itself ended 2-0 to Liverpool. Goals created by
Andy Carroll in the 71st minute and
Luis Suarez in the 82nd minute.
"I thought it ruined the game. That wasn't down to a bad tackle,'' Moyes said.
"I would have been disappointed if it had been a free-kick. I don't think anyone in this world thought it was [a sending off].''
