Liverpool threw away a 2-0 lead as Arsenal came back to gain a point in a pulsating clash at the Emirates on Wednesday night.
The Reds took an early lead when Luis Suarez took advantage of some indecisive Arsenal defending, following a Daniel Sturridge effort, to curl the ball in.
Sturridge then had a chance to make it 2-0 from a sublime Suarez pass, but shot wide as Wojciech Szczesny advanced.
Liverpool, led from the back by Jamie Carragher, bossed the first half, although Pepe Reina did need to be at his best to stop a couple of efforts from Walcott, by far Arsenal’s most dangerous attacking threat.
Jordan Henderson had a fine chance to lob Szczesny when the Pole came storming out of his box, but the former Sunderland midfielder sent his effort over the bar.
The second half was equally frenetic, and the Reds took a 2-0 lead against the run of play on 60 minutes.
Sturridge fed Henderson, who held off the weak challenges of several Arsenal defenders before prodding the ball home.
