Liverpool open negotiations with Udinese over Pablo Armero

Faltering Liverpool are already planning summer acquisitions in order to ensure next season is not plagued with the same inconsistencies as this campaign.

The Reds are in talks with Udinese about the possibility of bringing Colombian star Pablo Armero to Anfield during the close season.

According to the Daily Mail, representatives of the player were at Loftus Road on Wednesday night to see Kenny Dalglish's team lose 3-2 to QPR and run through some of the details of the deal.

Senior figures from the boardroom of the five-time European champions were on hand to meet with Armero's team.
