Rodwell has had his red card in Merseyside derby against Liverpool rescinded

Everton defender Jack Rodwell, freed from the red card he received in the Premier League match against Liverpool on Saturday.

Rodwell red card after referee Martin Atkinson assessed breaking Luis Suarez at minute 23. Everton then filed an appeal, which was granted by the English Football Federation (FA).

The match itself ended 2-0 to Liverpool. Goals created by Andy Carroll in the 71st minute and Luis Suarez in the 82nd minute.

"I thought it ruined the game. That wasn't down to a bad tackle,'' Moyes said.

"I would have been disappointed if it had been a free-kick. I don't think anyone in this world thought it was [a sending off].''
