Liverpool winger,
Stewart Downing, professes to believe his team can win the
Premier League this season, if it continues to display such a brilliant game in three previous games.
Of the three matches, the
Liverpool gain seven points and now sits third in the standings, behind
Manchester United and
Manchester City, who collected a perfect points, nine points.
In the next game, Liverpool will face
Stoke City on Saturday. On paper, Liverpool should have no trouble reaching three figures, and thus keep the rivalry with Manchester's two clubs.
"There is a feel-good factor," said Downing to
Soccernet.
"We started the season very well but we've got a tough run of games coming up, starting with Stoke (on Saturday).
"If we keep playing the way we are at Liverpool, we've got a hell of a chance of being in the top bracket.
"But we take one game at a time."
