Meireles Will Miss Several Weeks

Liverpool midfielder Raul Meireles, suffered groin problems in the bone in the Carling Cup second round match, against Exeter on Wednesday. Manager Kenny Dalglish predicts Meireles will miss several weeks.

In that game, Meireles appear as a starter. In the 20th minute, he was having that problem so it must be replaced Andy Carroll.

"Raul has hurt his collarbone. I don't know the technical term but he fell heavily," manager Kenny Dalglish said, according BBC.

"We don't know how serious it is but it'll be a few weeks."

Three minutes after the entry of Carroll, through Luis Suarez Liverpool ahead. Liverpool then leave Exeter 3-0, thanks to goals from Maxi Rodriguez (55) and Carroll (58).

The match ended with the score 3-1. Exeter created Daniel Nardiello scored from the penalty spot in the 80th minute, following a breach of Martin Skrtel to him.

"Martin Skrtel got through the game no problem, Danny Wilson got 90 minutes, Andy Carroll gets his first goal of the season and Maxi got a goal. We are quite happy we have gone through." he added.
