Liverpool midfielder
Charlie Adam praised the performance of teammate Luis Suarez as
The Reds drew 1-1 with Sunderland on Saturday (13/8), at the Anfield stadium.
Uruguay International players had a chance to throw away the opportunity when a penalty bounced over the crossbar Sunderland, but it redeemed itself a failure in less than five minutes by sending the ball into the net over his head after receiving a pass from Adam.
"It's great to see him back because he is a top player," said Adam in the
club's official website on Sunday.
"Everybody has been talking about how good he is, I think you can see why he was at this club. As I said, he is a top player and he scored well," he said.
Former Blackpool player was apparently also impressed with
Suarez that still look good, even though scoring was still exhausted from playing in the Copa America last July.
Meanwhile, Adam made his debut for Liverpool in the
Premier League. His appearance was not bad and he successfully made an assist.
"It's nice to be able to assist in the goal, but the important thing is the winning team. We are disappointed with a draw. This is not the best start but there are still many matches to be lived," he added.
