Liverpool are hoping to lure former player and manager Kenny Dalglish back to Anfield, as they line the Scot up to fulfil an ambassadorial role.
Dalglish was sacked following an 18-month spell as manager at Liverpool, having taken over after Roy Hodgson's departure in January 2011.
Although the 61-year-old took up a similar position before his appointment as manager, it is unclear whether Dalglish would be open to the idea of a return.
